Open to all ages, help from a guardian required for children under 9
Come by Struts Gallery and learn how to make hand dipped candles with Open Studio Artist in Residence Sarah Houle. In the Indigenous tradition of gifting an object when learning a new skill, workshop participants will make two candles and are encouraged to gift one to someone in their life. Participants will also come away with step-by-step guidelines so they can explore candle making in their home kitchens.
To sign up email admin@strutsgallery.ca with subject line “Candle Making” and let us know how many people will be attending by June 27. Advance sign up is required so that we can stock materials.
Every workshop attendee will get a free Métis fry bread taco starting at noon as part of the regular Struts BBQ.
The workshop will be held outside of Struts, weather permitting.
If it’s inside, masks will be required.
