Struts is excited to announce the 2024 Struts Gallery Video Artist in Residence – Max Dooher. Max Dooher (he/him) is an interdisciplinary artist and computational designer based in K'jipuktuk / Halifax, Nova Scotia. Max creates screen-based applications and media installations which engage the public with modes of collective digital archiving, and recontextualize digital tools as means of reflection and social inquiry. While at Struts, Max will be working on a new project that blends computer vision techniques with moving images.
The Struts Gallery Video Artist in Residence program is a new paid artist residency opportunity for emerging artists funded by the Government of Canada through the Digital Skills for Youth Program. We would like to thank the Government of Canada for funding this residency opportunity.
