Screening and Artist Talk at 6pm
Drop by Struts and get acquainted with Max Dooher, Struts Gallery Video Artist in Residence. We'll be screening his new work, “GHOSTS” (15m) and discussing his practice.
GHOSTS is an experimental short film that interrogates the boundaries between self and other, fact and fiction, through the lens of surveillance technology. Presenting a montage of footage from public webcams and algorithmic animations, the film constructs a fragmented digital autobiography—not of a single individual, but of an interconnected, disembodied “anyone.” In reframing the digital archive as a haunted space where subjectivity dissolves into spectrality, GHOSTS asks: Is observing others through digital networks akin to documenting oneself?
