Lisa Theriault is an artist originally from Charlottetown, PEI. Her art practice uses humour to critically look at the role of industry in our society, while drawing from personal and regional histories. During her residency at Struts & Faucet, she will be experimenting with hand drawn animations and video mapped projections to form a new immersive space, including a projected “production line”. She is the co-founder of the online project space Closet Gallery and has exhibited and curated projects at venues across Eastern Canada including Galerie Sans Nom (Moncton, NB), Owens Art Gallery (Sackville, NB), Saint John Arts Centre (Saint John, NB), Confederation Centre Art Gallery (Charlottetown, PE), and small town market gallery (Charlottetown, PE). Recently, Lisa was the curator-in-residence at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, where she co-curated the exhibition Who’s Your Mother?
