Heart & Pocket Revue is an independent market featuring handmade wares by regional and national artists and artisans curated from an open call for proposals. The annual event is presented in partnership by Struts Gallery and the Owens Art Gallery, Mount Allison University. Traditionally this event was held in conjunction with Handmade Assembly, an interdisciplinary community event that explored the intersections of the handmade and contemporary art. While Handmade Assembly came to a close in 2019, the Heart & Pocket lives on as a way to highlight and support the work of local, regional and national artists. Lookout for the Handmade Assembly book, set to be published in 2022.
