START gallery was established in 1999 by a group of Mount Allison University students.

START is dedicated to creating a positive atmosphere, in which to unite, educate, and encourage students in their artistic endeavors. Shared expression is an essential part of an artistic career, and START aims to enrich both the lives of the individual artists as well as the surrounding community.

START is very open to ideas from students. If you have any idea of an event, workshop, project, screening anything, and you would like to use START as a venue, please contact me with your proposal, and I will do my best to help you realize your idea. Keep in mind the budget of the gallery is limited and nothing can conflict with events happening at Struts or Faucet.

START is also seeking volunteers for help with various activities in the gallery. This includes sitting on the selection committees, gallery sitting, assisting with event night, and anything else that might come up.
If you would like to be put on the gallery volunteers list, please click here and let me know. This is a great way to get involved with the gallery, especially for first year students.
