While at struts, lisa and mary are building their microcosmic maycomb. They'll be stepping into specific characters from harper lee's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in order to navigate their own experiences of relationships. By exploring the aesthetics of southern gothic literature and embracing the romance of late summertime, they'll construct a collaborative narrative about neighborhood, needing each other, and greeting the ghosts next door. These are experiments in seeing out of other eyes; this is magic making mockingbird songs. Their characters include:

SCOUT embodies play as exploration, the clumsiness of curiosity, and the fierceness of friendship. She maintains a headstrong sincerity while navigating the social paradox of individualism and interdependence.

ATTICUS exemplifies a graceful honesty, quiet courage, and compassionate intellect. As a counselor, he is both patient and demanding. He asks the audience to cross-examine their everyday and bear witness to their own truth.

BOO is the idea of someone. The nature of boo radley is the nature of the unknown. He exists as somewhere between abstraction and reality: a translucent human, an opaque ghost.
