Faucet Media Arts Centre is a production and presentation centre for the media arts. Located in Sackville, New Brunswick, Faucet is dedicated to enhancing the media arts in New Brunswick through workshops, screenings, exhibitions and affordable access to production equipment. Facilties and equipment are available to members and visiting artists for film, video, audio and new media production and presentation. Faucet is a member driven production facility developed by Struts Gallery, an artist run centre, and a member of the Independent Media Arts Alliance.

Faucet Media Arts Centre Classic and fX: faucet eXpanded
Our original (classic)Faucet Media Arts Centre space houses digital video editing stations (including High Definition), a media library, an HD viewing facility, and rental Equipment. Our new upstairs space, the fX: faucet eXpanded, houses various dedicated media arts suites including 16mm Steenbeck editing suite, optical printing suite, animation suite, a flexible studio space, a darkroom, a green screen, workshop studio, and a small electronics lab. The fX opens to the public in July, 2010.


This residency program offers regional artists with little or no experience with media arts the opportunity to produce a work at Faucet. Although we are unable to pay fees at this time artists are provided accommodations, technical and critical support and access to production equipment and facilities.


FaucetOnline is a site for the exhibition of media art on the world wide web. With the support of the New Brunswick Arts Board Faucet has co-produced six new works by New Brunswick artists for online dissemination. New FaucetOnline works are currently in development. Faucet Media Arts Centre is dedicated to developing audiences and enhancing the production of web based media art in New Brunswick.

Summer Production Honorarium

Faucet Media Arts Centre is pleased to announce its second Summer Production Honorarium. This program is open to undergraduate students graduating from a Atlantic-Canadian post-secondary institution. Faucet will support the production of a new film, video, audio or new media project.

The selected artist will receive a $1000 Honorarium and have access to Faucet equipment, support and resources for the summer.

Ok.Quoi?! CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL (July 26 - Aug 1, 2009)

OK.Quoi?! is an interdisciplinary festival of contemporary art, focusing on video, audio, new and independent music. The festival is produced by Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre in partnership with Motion Ensemble, Sappy Records and CHMA 106.9 FM. The works of over 40 artists will be presented over 6 days in a variety of screeings, concerts, broadcasts and on the world wide web. Alongside exciting international and national work, OK.Quoi?! features new and innovative projects from local and regional artists.
